ARTIST IN RESIDENCE | ATELIER BÂBA

To mark the launch of their debut collection entitled ‘Timiditine,’ luxury womenswear brand Bâba will be taking up residence on the lower ground floor at Hostem for six weeks.

Guests will be led by floor tapestries to travel to the lower ground floor at Hostem. Tented 18th century linens hand-dyed with walnuts and indigo envelop boots, shoes and blankets and an array of personal articles, precious objects and antiquities.

Bâba have gathered artifacts and original objects, working with dealers, artists and makers in London. Alongside the collection, there will be antique linens and furniture from Christopher Howe, rare indigo textiles and clothing from Molly Hogg, painted fragments from Christopher Page, Rock-Crystal spheres from Ben Gaskell and indigo plaster casts by Clementine Keith-Roach.

The collection comprises boots, shoes and blankets, dyed with indigo pigment from North Africa.

Artist in Residence is at Hostem, 41-43 Redchurch Street, London E2 from February 25th 2015.
